Blair Hurst
Area restaurateur Blair Hurst will have a soft opening for his Jack Gage American Tavern, at 5031 Main St., today.
The operation serves a variety of items including BLT fried chicken salad, Virginia ham and cheddar sandwiches, eggs Benedict, hamburgers, rotisserie turkey, chicken and waffles, and fettuccine Alfredo.
Prices range from $4.50 appetizers to about $30 for strip steak topped with crabmeat.
Hurst took over the former Double Dragon space more than 2½ years ago.

He was going to license an English pub concept but went with his own ideas, playing off a little family boxing history.
