The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce has appointed the chamber's senior vice president for government relations and policy development to serve as interim president.
Kristi Smith Wyatt will head the chamber staff until a successor to Pete Levi is selected. Levi led the chamber for 19 years before announcing his intent to retire Dec. 31.
Wyatt has been with the chamber since 1994. She is not a candidate to replace Levi.
A search committee, headed by chamber chairman Peter deSilva and businessman Peter C. Brown, is working with EFL Associates to find a president.
